About
Fuad HFB
Fuad HFB born Fuad Mohammed is an up and coming Somalian/Norwegian rapper. Fuad's family migrated to Norway in 1991 after the Somali civil war erupted.
In early 2002 Fuad moved from Stavanger, Norway to North London for some years. He credits his time in the UK as being his biggest musical influence. London is best known for its Grime and Drill which heavily influences Norwegian hip hop. Returning to Stavanger, Norway after spending eight years in the UK, Fuad, decided to focus on his education. He began studying in Stavanger, Norway then moving south to the city of Kristiansand in 2017 where he completed his Masters Degree in teaching.
After securing his Masters Degree, still filled with inspiration, and a heavy influence of the Trap, Grime and Drill music of the UK, Fuad began his quest to becoming a rap artist. Fuad has an incredibly strong will and unstoppable motivation he says comes from his Somaliland roots.
Relatively new to the game, releasing his first single “Struggle” in January 2020, Fuad quickly amassed thousands of streams. A feat not many new artists accomplish on their debut release. Struggle currently has nearly 19,000 streams on Spotify alone to date. In June of 2020 his follow up single “Switch Up” was released. Once again the streams were flowing like a flash flood. Switch Up to date has over 21,000 streams on Spotify alone. Fuad’s first music video which was for Switch Up, premiered on June 23, 2020 and has amassed over 7,000 views.
Since Fuad’s debut he has released projects consistently. He has released singles: “Man of the Year” in January of 2021, “Why Me?” in February of 2021, “Baecation” in June of 2021, “HFB Anthem” February of 2022, “Go Dung” July of 2022 and most recently “Brown Eyes” in October 2022. Working alone until recently signing with X-Management, a Brooklyn, New York based firm, Fuad has amassed nearly 100,000 streams on Spotify alone in just 33 months. He has also amassed 57,000 views on his music videos with the stand out being “Go Dung” which was released on Link Up TV on August 10, 2022 garnering over 31,000 views.
Fuad HFB has carved out his place within the Hip hop scene in Norway. In August of 2021 his first ever live performance was at The International Cultural Festival in Kristiansand, Norway. In June of 2022 he was booked to perform at ParisLatino. ParisLatino is "Norway's Biggest Reggaeton Party" and Scandinavia's fastest growing latin brand with over 18,000 followers on social media. He was called back to once again grace the stage of The International Cultural Festival in June of 2022 and most recently performed at The Protest Festival a yearly event hosted in Kristiansand, Norway in September of 2022.
With the support of Norway and the people of his homeland, Somaliland, Fuad HFB is destined to reach the international status he seeks. With the ultimate goal of one day returning to his homeland to assist in rebuilding his country which still remains in conflict, Fuad is a force to be reckoned with.
